The new Canberra Institute of Technology Woden campus officially opened on Thursday.
CIT Woden, which will see students arriving for the start of Semester 2 on July 21, is intended to have 6500 students through its doors each year.
Spanning 22,500 square metres across five levels, the solar-passive construction contains 66 learning spaces that will support 24 different industry areas.
Courses will range from information technology, cyber-security, photography and business to hospitality, hairdressing, and creative industries, with amenities like a student-operated restaurant, hair and beauty salon.
Design features in the state-of-the-art buildings include the Brindabellas-inspired Walking the Ridgeline façade, to reflecting a silhouette of a Mulleun, or wedge-tailed eagle, through the oculus at the top of level five.
