Indie pop star tops the bill at museum open day

Indie pop sensation Jem Cassar-Daley, Canberra singer songwriter Stewart Barton and Indonesian and Chinese dance groups are among the free performances headlining  Community Day at the National Museum on January 26. There are also music and dance workshops, and exhibitions with curator-led tours.

Alt-pop singer-songwriter, Amy Shark, is in town on her solo Acoustic Songs and Stories regional tour, and plans to perform the entire set acoustically, Canberra Theatre, January 29.

TV medicos Dr Chris and Dr Xand are taking Aussie kids on a new adventure to unearth the most dangerous, most powerful, most important fart in history in Operation Ouch Live: The Quest for a Jurassic Fart. Llewellyn Hall, January 25.

The Hive’s Pop-Up Bar, offers an alternative place in Queanbeyan — The Yellow House —that is not a pub or a club. It’s open again with live music by the Liv and Jess jazz duo, Crawford Street, January 24. Children welcome.
