An unnamed Queanbeyan man has won $1 million in a Weekday Windfall lottery.
His is one of the two division one winning entries in the Weekday Windfall 4403 drawn on Friday June 14.
He bought his 15-game entry from the Queanbeyan City Newsagency & Lotto, in Crawford Street.
“I went in on Saturday and they told me the prize was over $1000 so they couldn’t pay it over the counter,” he says.
“So, I went online and started checking off my numbers. I’m counting them and I’m thinking: ‘Oh s***! I’ve got all six! I’ve got all six!’.
“Once I knew, I told my children. They’re very happy for me.
“It’s going to set our family up. I’m much older and I’ve never owned a home.”
The other winning entry was from SA.
