Police search stumbles on cannabis grow house

An alleged family violence incident has led to police discovering a cannabis grow house.

Police were called to a family violence incident and when looking for the alleged offender – a 51-year-old man – discovered 10 mature cannabis plants including lighting, ventilation, watering and computer control equipment in the rear garage of the woman’s home.

The man later surrendered to Woden Police Station where he was charged with choking/suffocating/strangling another person, aggravated reckless threats to kill and trespass.

Charges relating to the cannabis grow house are pending.
