Man arrested after Kaleen drug bust

The “sophisticated hydroponic set up” at the Kaleen grow house.

Major Crime Squad officers have busted a grow house of more than 150 cannabis plants in Kaleen and arrested a 36-year-old man.

Police described it as a “sophisticated hydroponic set up” cultivating 156 cannabis plants.

There was also extensive damage to the interior of the home and evidence of unauthorised electrical work used to bypass the electricity meter.

The man has been charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled plant, possessing equipment used to cultivate controlled plants, theft, and unauthorised use of electricity.
