Former soccer coach on sexual assault charges

A former soccer coach is facing the ACT Magistrates Court on charges of allegedly sexually assaulting a girl in the early 2000s.

Police allege the 51-year-old Victorian man originally met and abused the child over a number of years while he was her soccer coach.

The man faces five charges of sexual intercourse with a child under 16, and committing an act of indecency on a person under 16.
