Threatening messages send man to court

A 26-year-old man is facing the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday after he allegedly breached a family violence order by sending threatening messages to his former partner.

Police say they were contacted by the man’s former partner last night after she received several messages and phone calls from the man.

At about the same time, the man was separately taken into custody by police in Civic due to aggressive and intoxicated behaviour.

He was later and charged with contravening a family violence order.
