Teen charged with home burglary

A 17-year-old boy, already subject to a good behaviour order and bail conditions, is facing the ACT Children’s Court charged with multiple offences after allegedly robbing a home in Forde on Tuesday.

The resident woke to find a sliding rear door and side gate open and their Mazda CX-3, a wallet, a handbag and keys had been stolen.

The boy was recognised by police from CCTV footage and arrested and charged with burglary, taking a motor vehicle without consent and unlawfully possessing stolen property.
