A 31-year-old Gungahlin man who was on parole and on bail will face court after he was caught driving at 157km/h in a 80km/h zone on Monday morning.
His white Holden Commodore utility was clocked speeding by police who were conducting speed-enforcement operations on Gungahlin Drive, in Franklin. The utility was seized under road transport legislation and the man arrested.
He faces charges of aggravated furious driving, exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h, failing to stop for police, driving while disqualified, breaching bail and breaching parole.
