Northbourne gets another red light camera

The intersection of Bunda Street and Northbourne Avenue will be monitored for speed and red light offences.

Traffic heading south on Northbourne Avenue through the intersection of Bunda Street will be monitored for speed and red light offences from the end of this month.

The ACT government says this is not an additional camera in its fixed-camera network. It is a relocation of an existing fixed camera.

The location has been chosen for its proximity to the bus interchange and light rail stop with increased vehicle and pedestrian movement.

Variable message signs will be in operation throughout the Civic 40 km/h area to remind motorists to slow down in this highly pedestrianised and built-up area in the middle of the city.
