Lyneham man charged with stealthing

A 39-year-old Lyneham man is facing stealthing charges following sexual intercourse with a woman in Lyneham on Sunday.

Stealthing occurs when a person removes a condom without a sexual partner’s consent, police say.

On Monday police searched the man’s residence and subsequently arrested him.

Police say the man has been charged with one count of sexual intercourse without consent, and two counts of indecency without consent. Stealthing was criminalised in the ACT in October 2021.
