The new green-coloured plane, the first A220 regional jet for QantasLink.

By aviation  writer Scott Mayman

It’s been accidentally revealed that Canberrans flying to Melbourne on the new green-coloured QantasLink jet service won’t have seat-back entertainment.

The new A-220 jet flew into Australia last month and is due to begin service in February, linking the national capital with Melbourne.

Other versions of the jet with other airlines do have seat-back video entertainment.

But it’s been revealed, Qantas is opting for the “bring your own device” method using the onboard streaming service.
A second A-220 is due to arrive in Australia later this month
