Car crashes into house in Harrison

A silver Toyota Yaris has run into the front of a house in Harrison causing significant damage.

Police say witnesses reported the vehicle travelling at high speed immediately before the collision just before 8pm on Saturday in Cape York Street.

A 26-year-old Sydney man, who held an international driver’s licence, was taken into custody. He later returned a positive breath alcohol reading.

Investigators are seeking any witnesses or dash-cam footage of the Yaris in the Harrison area before the incident.
