With the repair bill likely to run into millions, police are seeking witnesses and CCTV footage to a suspicious apartment fire in O’Connor on Wednesday. 

At about 1.40am, ACT Fire & Rescue responded to reports of an apartment block on Berrigan Crescent on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire, but the third level of the complex was significantly damaged and 11 apartments had to be evacuated.

No injuries were reported and the matter is now under investigation as a major crime.

Witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously, or anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time of the fire should call 1800 333000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
