
“Despite the worst cost of living crisis in recent memory, the company’s pay offer amounts to a paltry eight per cent over three years, a significant cut to real wages with annual inflation running at six per cent,” said Mr Hicks.
“The ACT government effectively owns 50 per cent of Evoenergy through its wholly owned subsidiary, Icon Water. The union is also calling on the Chief Minister and Energy Minister to explain why they are allowing Evoenergy to treat hard-working employees with contempt.”
Mr Hicks said Evoenergy’s conduct was unacceptable.
“We will not take a backward step. The ETU intends to keep campaigning for a decent deal that meets the cost of living.”
