A MAN is in hospital with serious injuries to his face, chest and back following what police describe as a serious assault in Civic on Monday evening.

The man was allegedly assaulted at the bus interchange.

A 28-year-old Queensland man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.

Police say they have spoken to some of the witnesses present, however they’re seeking other witnesses to come forward to assist in the investigation.
