POLICE have released an image of a man they are looking for in relation to an alleged a one-punch assault in Civic that sent another man to hospital with serious injuries.

The incident occurred outside the 88mph nightclub at about 2am on Sunday, September 24.

Police describe the alleged offender as Pacific Islander in appearance, with a medium build, dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a black hooded jumper and dark pants, and was carrying a black satchel bag.

Police say there may have also been an earlier altercation between the victim and the alleged offender inside the venue.

They would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this altercation and/or the subsequent alleged assault outside.
