A 70-year-old man has been charged with murder following a stabbing at a residence in Bruce on Monday.
About 5.40pm on Monday police were called to a residence on Kinloch Circuit, Bruce.
A 65-year-old woman suffering stab wounds was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was taken to hospital following the incident, where he remains under police guard.
He was arrested on Friday and will be charged with murder during a bedside hearing.
