
A 40-year-old Kambah man has been charged with manslaughter after allegedly injecting his partner with heroin, causing her to overdose in August 2021.
At about 8.10pm on August 19, 2021, emergency services received reports of a woman who had collapsed in a Florey residence after being injected with heroin.
When emergency services arrived, CPR was attempted and the woman was transported to the Northside Canberra Hospital (formerly Calvary) where she was later declared deceased.
The man was arrested on Monday, and is set to face the ACT Magistrates Court.
He has been charged with one count of manslaughter and one count of administering a declared substance without authorisation.
