Holdens burnout on Kings Avenue overpass

TWO black Holden sedans have been reported to police for doing burnouts on the Kings Avenue overpass at 8pm on Friday.

Police say shortly after the cars headed south along Kings Avenue and exited on to Wentworth Avenue.

The drivers of the Holdens were believed to be driving in company with other vehicles, including a blue Yamaha motorcycle.

A burnout is achieved by keeping a vehicle stationary and spinning its wheels, the resultant friction causing the tyres to heat up and smoke.

Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed or has dash-cam footage of the incident or saw the Holdens driving around the area at the time of the alleged burnout.

Anyone with information should call 1800 333000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
