Greenway police search yields 34 charges

A 43-year-old man was arrested and charged with drug trafficking after police searched his Greenway home.

At about 4.30am on Friday police seized a trafficable amount of heroin, six cannabis plants and other substances believed to be illicit drugs, as well as other drug paraphernalia at a residence on Dods Place.

Police also seized prohibited weapons – including a sling shot, two extendable batons, a knuckle duster, and three throwing knives – as well as a large amount of property suspected of being stolen.

The man was arrested at the scene and charged with a total of 34 offences – drug trafficking, cultivating a controlled plant, two counts of possessing a declared substance without authorisation, 23 counts of possessing stolen property, two counts of possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of crime, and five counts of possessing a prohibited weapon.
