- Cuba is a celebration of Cuban music hosted by soprano Ayşe Göknur Shanal that has enjoyed two sellouts at Sydney Opera House. Smith’s Alternative, August 31.
- The Hive is swinging into spring with live music back in its garden with singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Garth Prentice, supported by local musician Jerikye Williams. Crawford Street, Queanbeyan, August 30.
- Apeiron Baroque is holding a “pre-concert concert” catering for young children and families before Apeiron and guest Alana Blackburn, showcase the full gamut of recorders. Wesley Uniting Church, August 31.
- The CSO Chamber Ensemble will perform Wieniawski’s Légende and Franck’s Violin Sonata along with Debussy’s Sunken Cathedral and two études-tableaux by Rachmaninov, Albert Hall, 2pm, August 31.
- Geoff’s Jazz at Smiths features the Con Campbell Quartet’s tribute to saxophone great Sonny Rollins, Smith’s Alternative, Civic, September 3.

- ANCA’s 10th exhibition of wearable works, PIN 10, features 201 works by 45 artists from across Australia, in a broad range of media including precious metals and stones, found objects and materials, paper, feathers and glass. ANCA Gallery, Rosevear Place, Dickson, September 3-13.

- Actor, writer and musician Leo Amadeus has put together a collection of comedy songs and characters for the Sydney Fringe and will present them as a one-hour show under the title Horse Brother at the Courtyard Studio, Canberra Theatre Centre, August 30.
- The Australian premiere of Peter/Wendy by Jeremy Bloom, directed by Rachel Pengilly, in which Peter Pan lures Wendy Darling away from her home and her mother is at Mill Theatre, Fyshwick, September 3-27.
