A 36-year-old man is facing court charged with assaulting his partner over the course of several years.
Police allege the man attacked his partner multiple times since 2021, choking her in one instance and on another occasion, causing injuries that required hospital treatment.
The man’s partner reported the incidents to the Tuggeranong Police Station on Thursday,
The man was arrested at about 4pm at a residence in Ngunnawal. He has been charged with choking, suffocating or strangling another person, aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, damaging property and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
