Canberra Airport is playing host to the prototype of the Australian-made lunar rover.
Called The Roo-ver, it will be rolled out, when NASA lands on the moon in 2028.
The Australian Space Agency says NASA will launch the rover in a future Artemis mission.
“The Roo-ver will support global space science and exploration goals. It will also demonstrate Australian innovations on the moon,” the agency says.
Lead engineer Dr Sarah Cannard says The Roo-ver is Australia’s giant leap (for mankind?) and its every move will be followed by scientists, based in Perth
Last week, the prototype was on-show outside Parliament House and will be on display at Canberra Airport, just after the security area, until the end of next week.
