Two men acting suspiciously outside the window of a home in Franklin were confronted by the resident, who was assaulted with weapons early on Sunday morning, police allege.
The would-be burglars fled in the man’s Mitsubishi Lancer, which was recovered in Dickson later in the day.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
