A man has been taken to hospital with “significant” injuries after being allegedly assaulted by two men in an apartment block in Reid.

Police say that at about 9.30pm on Wednesday, the man was was attacked by two men. He managed to flee and police were called.

At 5am on Friday, police searched the Reid apartment and arrested a 51-year-old man. By 8.30am, a 45-year-old man was also arrested after he turned up at the apartment.

Both men have been charged with aggravated robbery and intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm.
