A 39-year-old woman has been arrested following an investigation into her alleged sexual abuse of a 15-year-old girl. 

Police will allege that the woman met and abused the child while she was the victim’s basketball coach in 2009.

On Thursday police searched the woman’s home and she was later charged with four counts of sexual intercourse with a young person under 16 years, and two historical family violence offences against the same victim, being choking another person and possessing an offensive weapon with intent.
