Call for ‘early planning’ hospital partner

The ACT government is calling for expressions of interest to begin the early planning for the $1 billion northside hospital on the North Canberra Hospital campus in Bruce.

Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said the ACT government was seeking a delivery partner to support the territory on early planning, design and “constructability” for the project, as part of a “very early contractor involvement delivery model”.

She said it would be a two-stage process. Following assessment of the expressions of interest, the government would invite shortlisted tenderers to respond to the request-for-tender stage, which would include an interactive process to resolve an appropriate risk-sharing regime to reflect the best value for money proposition for the territory.

Responses to the invitation for EOI close in late June and the successful delivery partner is expected to be announced in late 2024. More at tenders.act.gov.au.
