Hammer and knife used in home assault

TWO men have suffered serious facial wounds and lacerations from being assaulted with a hammer and a knife by three men at a home in Duffy.

A 27-year-old Isabella Plains man was arrested on Thursday and is facing multiple assault charges from the alleged assault on the evening of February 29.

Police have searched residences in Karabar, Weston and Isabella Plains as part of the investigation.

The arrested man was charged with two counts of recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm, intentionally wounding and breaching bail.

Investigations relating to two other suspected offenders are ongoing.
