About 65 voluntary redundancies will be offered across the ACT Health and Community Services Directorate as it moves to cut staffing costs and operate within its budget.

The directorate announced the program today, saying it needs to align staffing levels with available funding.

The offers will be made across a workforce of more than 1500 employees, with a small number of additional applications potentially accepted where resources can be redirected to priority areas.

Participation is voluntary and no employee groups are excluded except the Senior Executive Service.

Applications will be assessed against the need to maintain core regulatory and essential services and retain staff needed to deliver government priorities.

The directorate says work programs in affected teams will also be reviewed to align them with available resources and maintain sustainable workloads.
