One death as ACT Health stops covid reports on Facebook

ONE COVID-19-related death has been recorded in this week’s pandemic report, with ACT Health also announcing it as the final weekly update on Facebook.

Case numbers will continue to be provided every Friday, excluding public holidays, on the ACT’s COVID-19 website.

This week’s report says a man in his 70s is the latest covid-related death, bringing the ACT’s toll to 229.

There were 516 cases reported to ACT Health in the last week, up from 395 the week before.

As of Thursday, there were 14 active cases of the virus in Canberra hospitals. None of these cases require intensive care or ventilation.

Since the pandemic began – March 2020 – the ACT has recorded 233,490 total cases.
