Late-night surrender to police in Lyneham

A 27-yer old Giralang man surrendered to police just before midnight on Friday after having earlier evaded officers from Operation Toric who had directed his Nissan Tiida to stop in Hawker.

He was arrested at a house in Lyneham and charged with failing to stop for police, disqualified driving, refusing to undergo screening tests for drugs and alcohol, and aggravated dangerous driving.

A 27-year-old Wanniassa woman was also arrested at the house and faces court in relation to being in breach of bail.

Meanwhile, patrolling Territory Targeting Team officers recognised a man as being in breach of parole, as he walked from a Kia Sportage at a Braddon service station at about 12.30am Saturday. Police say the grey car had been reported stolen on Friday afternoon.

The 47-year-old from Braddon was arrested and faces charges of being in breach of parole, driving a motor vehicle without consent and disqualified driving.
