
ACT members won nine awards at the Master Builders Australia National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards in Adelaide on Friday night.
Following the MBA’s local awards in September, ACT winners advanced as finalists in 34 categories at the national awards.
Anna Neelagama, CEO of Master Builders ACT, said: “To have this many finalists at a national level is a huge achievement in itself. It is a testament to the incredible quality of building and construction from our members in the ACT.”
Projex Building Group won the National Assisted/Adaptable Living Award for its Whitlam project, along with the National Commercial/Industrial Construction Award for projects valued between $10 to $20 million for the Gugan Gulwan building, alongside CK Architecture.
Kane Constructions was awarded the National Commercial/Industrial Construction Award for projects valued between $50 to $100 million, as well as the National Commercial Historical Restoration/Renovation Award, for its work on the Australian War Memorial Southern Entrance. This project had earlier earned them the Project of the Year title at the ACT awards.
RAM Constructions received the National Commercial/Industrial Construction Award for project under $5 million with their innovative Denman Village Park Amenities Building, while Fore Group’s restoration of the historic West Block building in the Parliamentary Triangle was awarded the National Fitout Award for projects exceeding $10 million.
The National Display Home award categories featured wins from Prof Homes, which took home the award for National Display Home over $800,000 with its Denman Prospect display, while Sunny Homes ACT/NSW clinched the award for display home valued $400,000 to $600,000 for its Googong display.
Multiplex Constructions was awarded the National Health Facility Award for its Canberra Hospital Expansion Project.
