
Public swimming pools at Dickson and Manuka will open for the swimming season on Saturday.
Over winter, Dickson Pool was given a $925,000 improvement, which features:
- A new high-efficiency filtration system to improve water clarity and reduce chemical use.
- Aeration and re-seeding of grounds.
- Café upgrades including a new ventilation system and a new sandwich preparation bench.
Heritage-listed Manuka Pool, has had $30,000 spent on:
- Anti-slip flooring in all bathrooms.
- New baby changing tables in male and female bathrooms.
- Improved kiosk ventilation.
- A new coffee machine and deep fryer.
- The return of the Champions Board after nearly 70 years, restoring a lost piece of Canberra’s swimming history.
