P-plater booked for speeding three times in one day

A 19-year-old woman has been charged with speeding on the Hume Highway three times on the same day.

On April 12, police were called to the Hume Highway, Gunning, about 45 kilometres east of Yass, following multiple calls relating to alleged dangerous driving. They stopped the woman, a P-plate driver, at about 10.40am, after she was detected travelling at more than 20km/h over the 110km/h speed limit.

An hour later police patrolling the Hume Highway at Tumblong, about 14.5 kilometres southeast of Gundagai, booked the woman for travelling at 215km/h in a 110km/h zone. Her P2 licence was suspended, and her vehicle licence plates confiscated for three months.

By 2.10pm police booked her yet again after being detected travelling at 201km/h in a 110km/h zone on the Hume Highway, Table Top, 16 kilometres northeast of Albury. She was stopped and arrested.
