A man is in hospital with serious lower-leg injuries after being shot in Florey on Wednesday night.

Responding to a report that a man had been shot in the leg, emergency services found him near the intersection of Krefft Street and Eddy Crescent at around 10pm.

The man was taken to hospital by ACT Ambulance Service in a serious condition.

Police are urging any witnesses to the shooting or anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area to come forward.
