Man accused of assaulting woman in Fyshwick car park

A 28-year old man from Oaks Estate has been charged following an alleged family violence incident in Fyshwick on Monday evening.

Police received reports of a man assaulting a female inside a car in the underground car park at the Canberra Outlet Centre in Fyshwick at about 6pm.

Police say the man, who was subject to a good behaviour order, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, damaging property, unlawfully possessing stolen property and breaching a good behaviour order.

Police believe there were witnesses to the incident and are urging anyone with information to call 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website
