Woman charged with aggravated burglary

A woman has been accused of prying two secured lockboxes off the front entrance of a Braddon real estate agency early on Wednesday morning.

One of the lockboxes contained a swipe card to the building. Police allege the 26-year-old Turner woman returned at about 7.50am with a man and woman and used the swipe card to gain access.

The two women and the man then allegedly ransacked rooms and took several items including numerous keys to properties, laptops, an iPad, cameras and wallets.

Utilising CCTV footage and location data from a stolen laptop, police recovered the majority of the stolen items at the 26-year-old’s Turner home and arrested the woman, who was subject to a good behaviour order.

She has been charged with aggravated burglary and breaching the good behaviour order.

Police are trying to identify the man and other woman who are also alleged to have been involved in the burglary.
