Libs promise a new cop shop for Gungahlin

Gungahlin will get an upgrade to Yerrabi Pond, funding to improve playing fields and sporting facilities, and a standalone police station along with a new joint ambulance and fire station in Casey, if the Canberra Liberals are successful at the October 19 election.

The liberals are also promising to increase resources for mowing and provide funding for footpath maintenance across the ACT, which will be used to fix footpaths in the Yerrabi electorate.

Liberal leader Elizabeth Lee said the policy would enhance community infrastructure in Yerrabi and improve cost-of-living pressures, housing, transport, health and education.

“These announcements… prioritise community needs and ensure that the rates being paid by the people of Yerrabi go directly back into the suburbs where they live, work and play,” Ms Lee said.
