Tool theft didn’t work for alleged burglar

A 30-year-old NSW man has been charged following a burglary in Fyshwick store early on Monday morning. 

About 2.23am, police were alerted to a burglary occurring at a store on Newcastle Street, Fyshwick.

On-site security reported that a man in a green Mazda, believed to be responsible for the burglary, had rammed their vehicle.

Police say the Mazda was spotted in nearby bushland, full of property allegedly stolen from the store, including several tools.

The man was arrested and the man was subsequently charged with burglary, theft, using an unregistered vehicle, dangerous driving, having a numberplate issued for another vehicle and unlawfully possessing stolen property.
