Woman charged over Kambah assault, car theft

A 49-year-old Kambah woman has been charged after allegedly stealing a vehicle and assaulting her partner.

Police say the vehicle was stolen from a Greenway shopping centre car park on Monday night.

The woman allegedly drove the vehicle to her partner’s Kambah home on Tuesday evening, where she engaged in prolonged destructive behaviour and caused extensive damage to the property.

She also allegedly threw items at the man and sprayed aerosol paint into his face.

Police attended the home about 11.20pm following reports of a disturbance and arrested the woman.

Officers also located the allegedly stolen vehicle in the driveway.

She has been charged with two counts of aggravated common assault, and one count each of aggravated property damage, taking a motor vehicle without consent and driving a motor vehicle without consent.
