A man was allegedly attacked with a metal pole in Civic in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police said they were called to a disturbance on Alinga Street at about 2.05am after reports that a man was assaulting another man with a metal pole.

A 29-year-old man was located carrying a pole. He was directed to drop the pole and was arrested without further incident.

Police said the man was subject to bail conditions.
