Woman assaulted with baseball bat

A 23-year-old woman, who was subject to a good behaviour order, allegedly threatened a 30-year-old woman before assaulting her with a baseball bat at a residence in Turner.

Police say that following the alleged assault on August 9, the woman allegedly stole car keys belonging to the victim and drove the stolen vehicle at her.

The incident was reported to police in August and, after receiving additional information last month, police arrested the Turner woman on Sunday, charging her with multiple offences, including common assault, driving motor vehicle without consent, driving with intent to menace and failing to stop and give assistance.
