Watson assault: man in hospital with facial injuries

A 44-year-old man was taken to hospital with facial injuries following an assault in Watson on Monday afternoon.

Police say that a white Toyota Hilux utility, parked in the driveway of a home on Officer Crescent, Ainslie, was damaged.

After discovering the damage, two men went to a home on Antill Street, Watson, where they were allegedly attacked by a group of men, leaving a a man with facial injuries.

By 10pm police had arrested a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man at a residence on Knox Street, Watson. Both were charged with joint commission assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Police are appealing for any witnesses  and anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage from Monday, near:

  • Officer Crescent, Ainslie between 12.30pm and 1pm, or
  • Antill Street, Watson between 4.20pm and 4.40pm.
