Unlicensed driver ignores police order to stop

A 30-year-old unlicensed driver, wanted for other driving offences, faces court after failing to stop for police last week.

Early on March 19, police saw the man get into a stolen BMW 3 sedan with stolen registration plates at a petrol station in Gungahlin.

Directed to pull over, the man took off at speed, almost colliding with a police vehicle  as he fled.

On Monday, police pulled over a Holden Astra and found the man in the back seat.

He was arrested and charged with driving offences including failing to stop for police, aggravated furious driving, and being an unlicensed driver.
