Three teenagers have been charged after allegedly drawing Nazi symbols in a shopping centre bathroom.
police had been called to the South.Point shopping centre in Tuggeranong after graffiti depicting prohibited Nazi symbols was discovered in the evening of June 19.
Police identified 18 Nazi Hakenkreuz symbols and three references to Adolf Hitler drawn on the walls of the bathroom.
Police have subsequently charged a 16-year-old boy, 17-year-old girl and 18-year-old woman each with the Commonwealth offence of causing a Nazi symbol to be displayed. This offence carries a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment.
The 17-year-old and 18-year-old – who was underage at the time of the alleged offending – were also charged with trespass and defacing public property.
