Regional cash grants close next month

Qantas Regional Grants offers $2 million in support for not-for-profit organisations.

By aviation writer Scott Mayman

Canberra’s not-for-profits have a chance to earn some extra cash, thanks to Qantas.

Each year, the Flying Kangaroo offers the opportunity for local organisations to pick up a share in its $2 million Qantas Regional Grants program.

Last year there were no successful community applicants from the ACT, but QantasLink CEO Rachel Yangoyan is hopeful things will change this year.

She says the closing date for submissions is May 10, with an announcement in July.
