Property industry salutes its stars

The ACT’s property industry honoured its brightest talent at the People in Property Awards Gala, held at the National Arboretum on Friday night.

Property Council ACT & Capital Region executive director Ashlee Berry said: “These awards are about celebrating the people behind the projects – the visionaries, the leaders, the collaborators driving Canberra forward.

“Whether it’s creating inclusive workplaces, mentoring the next generation, or delivering sustainable and community-focused developments, these award winners embody the values that make our sector strong.”

The 2025 People in Property Award winners 

Rising Star Award – Nadia Hight, DOMA: Recognised for redefining workplace design with a focus on sustainability, flexibility and wellbeing.

Pathfinder Award – Jacob Crane, Jenarc: For visionary leadership and a community-first approach to construction, alongside advocacy for mental health and gender balance.

People First Award – Infrastructure Canberra: Celebrated for the creation of the iCBR Inclusion Hub, a staff-designed space fostering belonging and visibility.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award – Daniel Noble, Lendlease: Acknowledged for championing meaningful cultural change in construction through his leadership of the CIT Woden Project and gender equity advocacy.

Industry Impact Award – Bernie Cusack, Sellick Consultants: Awarded for decades of leadership in engineering, expanding Canberra’s civil footprint and mentoring future leaders.

Team of the Year – JLL Canberra: Recognised for over 50 years of service and innovation in real estate across leasing, capital markets, sustainability and facilities management.

Allan Wylucki Leadership Award – Vince Whiteside, Village Building Company: For principled, long-standing leadership that has built both thriving communities and a legacy of ethical development.

• A judges’ commendation for Team of the Year was also awarded to Canberra Town Planning.
