Officers bitten by Gungahlin man resisting arrest

Two police officers were bitten by a man resisting arrest in Gungahlin on Friday night.

Police responded to reports the 31-year-old Gungahlin man had set off the fire alarm inside the Gungahlin Market Place.

As they were trying to engage with him, he allegedly tried to flee. The man allegedly heavily resisted police, with two officers being bitten during the arrest.

He faces charges of assaulting a frontline community service provider and obstructing/resisting a territory public official.
