A man was taken to hospital in a serious condition after being shot in the stomach in Watson late on Saturday night.
Police say the offenders fled after the shooting in a dark vehicle, believed to be an Audi.
Following an examination of the scene at a home in Knox Street, police believe the property was also shot at several times in a second incident, which is believed to have occurred recently.
Police believe these shootings are targeted incidents.
Police are urging any witnesses to either of the two shootings, or anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area to come forward. Call 1800 333000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
